We will take care of getting your work permit for Singapore. (licence # 13C6324) How it works -  A caregiver takes care of an elderly or sick client in his or her home. The caregiver is a personal help, health aide & companion for a client. Although you will not be working as a nurse, you will develop a special relationship with your client, which will be very rewarding. Another advantage is that you will have a lot of time for the social & emotional aspects of care, something that is typically missing in the hospital setting due to the lack of time. Your duties will mainly focus on activities of daily living of one client (hygiene, feeding, mobilisation, exercise), and the client"s emotional & social well-being; Providing good specialised care is a full time commitment and therefore our caregivers are unable to take care of other family members" major household chores; However, you will support the client with his specific household tasks, including preparing meals, doing laundry, changing bed sheets, making sure the client is in a clean environment (cleaning their room and bathroom) etc.; You will work during the day, and will be guaranteed a minimum of 8 hours rest in a private room - moreover, there will be breaks & quiet times during the day, depending on the schedule of the client. -  Active Global Specialised Caregivers does not charge any fees to our Caregivers as we think this is an un-ethical practice. If you are pre-selected, and when we offer you a job to go to Singapore, you will only have to pay for: o  getting a passport (if you don"t already have one) o  getting a one-way flight to Singapore / Hong Kong - quite cheap with low-cost airlines o  getting a medical certificate certifying that you are negative for Tuberculosis, HIV, Syphilis, and Malaria, and that you are not pregnant - If your interview is successful, we will place you in our "pre-selected Talent Pool". We will then call you as soon as we have an employment offer for you (it might take between 1 week and 2 months). Candidates who already have their passport ready will be called in priority - If you agree with the employment offer, you will immediately fly to Singapore, where you will attend a short induction program, and after 3-4 days, you will start your employment as a Live-In Caregiver - Typical contracts are 2 years, with 1 day off per week, and 2 weeks home leave after one year. Your employer pays for the plane ticket for the home leave and the repatriation cost at the end of your contract. - If your contract is interrupted (for instance if your elderly patient passes away), and if you wish to continue working as a caregiver, you will be given priority to start with another client and stay in Singapore. - You cannot become pregnant during your contract, and your visa will not allow you to have your family to live with you.
